Injuries/Health

I wrote about how the defense suffered a myriad of injuries to some important players, and the offense didn’t go unscathed in 2019.

Importance of Players To Enroll Early. light. Related Story

The Noles lost James Blackman for a game and a half last season. Wide receiver Keyshawn Helton was lost for the season in game six, and Ontaria Wilson nearly five games with an injury.

Wilson returned in the bowl game, but then offensive guard Dontae Lucas was injured in that game and will likely be out of action until the fall.

Helton is still working his way back with rehab, and it’s unclear how long it’ll be before he’s 100 percent.

Those injuries will be opportunities for young players to get valuable reps. There are questions about running back Jashaun Corbin too.

He missed most of last year with a hamstring injury at Texas A&M and is still working his way back while waiting to see if his transfer waiver will be granted to play in 2020.

The video above shows Corbin repping what looks like 405 pounds with ease. That’s not the same as making cuts on the field, but that’s a good sign he could be close to putting the pads on.
