Isaiah Bolden

The FSU secondary hasn’t looked like “DBU” the last few seasons even though they continue to bring in highly ranked players.

Enter Isaiah Bolden, who’s a former four-star recruit from 2018. He was the No. 231 ranked player overall, and No. 25 ranked cornerback in the class.

Bolden redshirted his freshmen year after getting injured and saw action in all 13 games. He was credited with nine tackles, one interception and two pass breakups while also contributing on special teams with six kickoff returns, averaging 26 yards per return.

Bolden was listed as a cornerback but thought to play more safety due to his length and size. He’s listed at 6’2″ 194 pounds, which is 20 pounds heavier than when he was in high school.

The cornerback positions likely have established starters in Asante Samuel Jr. at field corner and Akeem Dent at the boundary position. However, the safety positions have more playing time up for grabs while being the weaker part of the secondary the past few seasons.

He’s too talented of a player to not be a contributor in his redshirt sophomore season.
