Final Thoughts

FSU football still fields a team that’s more talented than the majority of the teams they’ll face.

They were poorly coached the past two seasons and still saw an improvement in their overall SP+ ranking.

They finished the 2018 season ranked No. 71, and improved to No. 57 in 2019. One narrative we continue to hear about Mike Norvell and his coaching staff is they rarely get out-coached.

If that holds and I think it will, there’s no reason the Noles can’t see a big improvement again overall.

We got a glimpse at how structured and detailed Mike Norvell is when we discussed the Tour of Duty workouts a few days ago.

The practices are going to be designed to maximize everything so the players will get as many reps as possible.

Players are going to be evaluated and held accountable for what they bring to the table, which should pay dividends when the season arrives.
