Janarius Robinson

“J-Rob” signed with the Noles in the 2016 recruiting class as the No. 86 player overall and No. 7 defensive end.

I think most people knew Robinson was raw coming out of high school and expected him to redshirt his freshman season. That’s exactly what happened but Robinson didn’t have much of an impact his redshirt freshman season.

He tallied just four tackles in eight games but entered his redshirt sophomore season with a lot of hope he’d be able to put it together.

Robinson had a trying season after his family lost everything during Hurricane Michael, but he did manage to up his production compared to the previous year.

He finished the year with 27 total tackles, one sack, three tackles for loss and four QB hurries. Robinson improved his production last season, increasing his tackle total to 48 with three sacks, three QB hurries, two forced fumbles and nine tackles for loss.

Robinson needs to be more effective with his pass rush where FSU football as struggled a great deal. He still relatively raw there with limited moves after his bull rush and needs to find a way to give the Noles a spark from that position.
