FSU football: Impact of Corey Wren commitment to Noles
By Kelvin Hunt
Playmaker
FSU football hasn’t had a player with this type of speed in quite some time. When Mike Norvell talks about his offense being made for playmakers Wren is exactly the type of player that comes to mind.
Norvell puts players in different positions to take advantage of matchups which is the beauty of Wren coming in as an athlete and not just a running back or wide receiver.
Wren ran for 1,146 yards with 17 touchdowns while averaging 12.6 yards per carry this past season.
We’re talking bout the ability to get full speed in no time while displaying the ability to make would-be tacklers miss in space.
That’s exactly what you want for an offense that plans to put athletes in space while taking advantage of certain matchups against the defense.
