Final Thoughts

I’m not even sure if Zachary Evans will visit the Noles before National Signing Day. All I know is if he’s showing interest they should do whatever they can to sign him in this recruiting class.

He’s an early impact player at a position of need that would give the Noles momentum going forward.

Heck, we can even do like Miami and say FSU “flipped” Evans from Georgia. It’s whatever fits the narrative you want to portray at the end of the day.

When a program is at the top of the college football world like Clemson and others, they can afford to be selective when it comes to a player fitting into the team culture.

When you’re FSU football and have gone 18-20 over the last three seasons, you have to take chances on players at times who can be difference makers.

I’m not saying you take a whole gang of players with red flags, but it’s OK to take one or two because that can be managed with strong leadership and accountability.

Mike Norvell seems like the type of coach that can manage that situation, not to mention he’s familiar with JUCO players who often have lots of things going on too.

The bottom line, FSU football should sign Evans if they can as I believe the risk is worth the reward.
