Impact/Need

I wrote a few days ago I’d take at least 1-2 more running backs in this recruiting cycle due to the uncertainty in the running back room.

Injuries and off the field situations coupled with lack of experience means FSU needs to flood that unit with talent and Evans is the best in the country.

FSU hasn’t signed a five-star running back since Cam Akers and Khalan Laborn in the 2017 recruiting cycle.

If you want to see what it’s like not to have a elite running back, just watch the 2019 Sun Bowl with FSU playing Arizona State with Cam Akers sitting out to prepare for the NFL Draft.

FSU has missed signing these type of impact players, and Evans is someone that would come in and get a ton of snaps as a true freshman provided he did what he was supposed to do.

The Noles currently have ONE signed player ranked in the top 150 (Demorie Tate at No. 38).
