No. 2 FSU at Louisville 2014
FSU football came into this game off the heels of surviving an incredible game against No. 5 Notre Dame the previous game.
It was a Thursday night road game with FSU as -3.5 point betting favorites with Louisville’s defense being touted as one of the best in the nation.
They lived up to it early on with Jameis Winston tossing three interceptions in the first half to help the Cardinals build a 21-0 lead.
FSU got rather lucky by recovering a Karlos WIlliams fumble in the end zone to get on the board with a touchdown just before the half.
The second half saw the turnovers continue for FSU, but the ‘Noles offense started humming in the second half along with some lucky breaks of their own.
This game is when freshman running back Dalvin Cook announced himself to the world as he finished the game with 110 yards on nine carries and two touchdowns. He also had four receptions for 40 yards.
Jameis Winston finished the game 25 of 48 for 441 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. FSU scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to easily cover the spread after trailing for three-quarters.
