Momentum

I’ve said time and time again college football recruiting involves a ton of momentum. That’s one the previous staff understood as they’d usually have commitments come in flurries.

It creates excitement among the fan base and among recruits while giving the impression there’s something to check out if folk are committing to the program.

Just getting recruits to visit campus and them having a good time is a victory as they’ll spread the word about their time in Tallahassee.

The way Early Signing Day unfold for the Noles helped to greatly change the narrative and perception of the program.

For the longest time the narrative is FSU can’t sign a prep quarterback since they’ve missed the last two cycles.

Mike Norvell went out and signed two with one being flipped in about a week. Ironically, it’s eerily similar to what happened to the Noles last year with Sam Howell so it’s good to see the logo still holds some weight even though it was just Louisville they stole him from.

The advent of a new coaching staff usually brings momentum in and of itself as folk get excited for new things and change. There’s only a short amount of time for that new staff to take advantage of that time frame and that’s what could happen going into February.
