Momentum

Norvell’s press conference made FSU football fans even more interested to see what he would do on the recruiting trails. It was even more important with the early signing period coming up and Norvell needed to establish momentum quickly.

Getting a commitment would be a start and one from an offensive linemen(as much as it’s needed) wouldn’t be as sexy as a quarterback since FSU football hasn’t signed won since 2017.

Of course Rodemaker has to sign still, but the probability of him not signing is pretty small at this point. When he committed was perfect timing as it allowed the news to get out prior to FSU’s final weekend push to get commits and targets on campus to visit.

Almost all the commits and several uncommitted players at positions of need showed up on campus and it sounds like it went well.

Maybe Coach Edwards was indicating there was a silent commitment of sorts? Either way, getting former commits Morven Joseph and Josh Griffis back on campus was big as well as uncommitted four-star defensive back Kendall Dennis.
