FSU football: Fans react to Tate Rodemaker commitment
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football hadn’t signed a high school quarterback since the 2017 recruiting cycle. FSU head coach should end that drought in less than a week.
FSU football lost its lone quarterback commit this week and has already placed him in the class.
Three-star quarterback Tate Rodemaker committed to Mike Norvel and FSU football Friday night and will sign with the Nole next week during the early signing period.
Rodemaker hails from nearby Valdosta, Georgia, and is considered the No. 27 pro-style QB in the 2020 recruiting class.
He’s a former USF commit with 25 offers to his credit and was just offered by Mike Norvell two days ago.

Thoughts
As you can see FSU football fans are incredibly excited to see Mike Norvell already doing work on the recruiting trails.
A lot of fans were confused with the news of Jeff Sims decommitting, but the news of Rodemaker committing support it being a mutual parting of ways.
It’s clear Mike Norvell had a plan as he offered Rodemaker the same day Sims decommitted with Rodemaker committing two days later on his official visit to Tallahassee.
It’s huge as he’ll be signing next week and plans to early enrollee which would give him a better shot of potentially playing as a true freshman if Norvell decides to go that route.
If anyone had any concerns about Norvell on the trails this should calm those for the time being. I like he’s addressing a position of need almost immediately and look forward to seeing how he’s going to address the trenches.
That where FSU needs the most immediate help on both sides of the ball. Rodemaker is the No. 14 commitment in the class that’s no ranked No. 24.
Here’s to hoping Rodemaker’s commitment gets the ball rolling for the final weekend before the early signing period.
