Credentials

Adam Fuller brings six years of defensive coordinator experience to the Noles. He spent four years and Chattanooga, a year at Marshall and the current year at Memphis.

He has a knack for improving defenses and runs and multiple 4-3 look. I mentioned this over a week ago before Mike Norvell was even hired at FSU.

I figured it would be an unpopular hire but the guy has proven at two different places he can flat-out coach. Memphis went from allowing 31.9 ppg to just 24.4. Their yards per play average went from 5.61 to 5.23.

Memphis’s defenses faced less third downs under Fuller and went from 222 third downs faced to 197 with the conversion rate going from 39.64 to 38.58 percent.

Of course FSU could never get off the field under Harlon Barnett as FSU allowed 296 first downs this season (in 12 games).

Memphis’s defense under Fuller only allowed 257 first downs(in 13 games) this year compared to 311 the previous year.

That pretty solid considering the number from the previous, but can Fuller recruit though?
