Final Thoughts

FSU football is bowl eligible with the win and that’s a nice consolation considering they could have folded on the road against Boston College the previous week.

Interim coach Odell Haggins deserves a lot of credit for keeping this team together again, but the talk of naming him head coach is a joke.

The upcoming beatdown against Florida will likely quell that talk, so I’m not going to spend too much time on that.

The reality of things is this program is in worst shape now than when Willie Taggart took over. The biggest question is does FSU football really want to play big boy football now that the Bob Stoops saga is over?

Can they afford to go after a coach like James Franklin and miss? Can they take a chance on a coach that’s never been a head coach before?

Are they going to give the same commitment to whoever the new coach is? There’s a lot of questions we’ll hopefully have answers to in the coming weeks.
