FSU football: How much blame can be placed on Willie Taggart?

Accountablity

Overall, I feel Willie Taggart has done a solid job here. The players have done well off the field, performing well in class and without any major hiccups or run-ins with law enforcement.

Logan Tyler was punished for an off the field incident and no longer on the team. Ricky Aguayo was benched for missing a ton of field goals.

Cam Akers has been taken out of games for fumbling. Upperclassmen  Dontavious Jackson, Levonta Taylor, D.J. Matthews and others have seen less playing time for not performing well or doing the things required of them.

Taggart didn’t inherit the amount of talent reflective of the rankings of previous FSU recruiting classes.

However, there’s enough talent on this FSU roster to beat and dominate the likes of Wake Forest and other programs and obviously that’s not happening.

That’s the ultimate accountability right there. I get it he’s still using players he didn’t recruit for different systems, etc.

However, other coaches like Mack Brown (UNC) and Scott Satterfield (Louisville) seem to be doing more with way less talent in their first year at the helm.
