Low Penalties/Discipline

This is an area that was a huge issue for the Noles the past few years. In particularly last season when FSU had 16 penalties for 134 yards in last years game.

They’ve committed 20 penalties for 189 yards over the past two games against the Tigers. That’s not winning football, especially when they are turning the ball over multiple times against a great team.

A lot of the penalties last year were just dumb penalties like personal fouls and procedure penalties.

As I mentioned, that roughing the kicker penalty changed the whole game last year in an instance.

Now, FSU probably was going to get smoked anyways, but until that situation happened the team still had some belief in what they were doing and had experienced some success in limiting one of the best offenses in college football.

The good news is we’ve seen a decrease in those penalties for the most part and FSU was on the wrong end of some questionable calls in the NC State game.

However, I’m willing to accept 1-2 extra penalties per game if it means the Noles are going to play with an edge.
