FSU football are huge underdogs against Clemson with a slim chance of winning. Here’s three things I need to see regardless of the outcome.

FSU football was never expected to be able to win the Clemson game in 2019 after the debacle that was the 2018 season.

It’s crazy to think the point spread is nearly 10 points more this year compared to last year with Clemson regressing somewhat and FSU fielding a much better product.

A lot of soft factors seem to be the narrative leading up to the game. Will Clemson come into this game extra motivated after a poor showing against UNC?

Will FSU players be intimidated after getting thrashed last year at home by 49 points? At the end of the day it comes down to talent and execution of the game plans prepared for each team.

FSU football is still the most talented team the Tigers will face in the regular season and that can’t be discounted. Are they better coached than the Tigers is a better discussion, and that answer is likely a resounding “No.”

Of course you want to win very game you play, but I feel this game is much more about earning respect from Clemson and the national media than anything.

It’s similar to how FSU housed Clemson at Clemson in 2013 on prime time TV and then made it a game in 2014(although FSU had to play with a backup QB and still won).

The Noles simply have to proof the gap between the programs isn’t as big as it’s perceived to be. Here’s three things I need to see from the Noles against Clemson on Saturday win or lose.
