Wake Forest

This is the first realistic game the Noles can win on the schedule. The Demon Deacons will host the Noles a week after the Clemson game, so it’ll be imperative to not allow the probably loss to Clemson turn into another loss against Wake Forest.

They’re 5-0 and ranked No. 22 at the moment in the AP Poll and will play Louisville the week prior to hosting FSU. That game should be a great measuring stick as Wake Forest hasn’t beaten anyone of note this year and Louisville is coming off a win over Boston College.

Their two biggest wins are Boston College and North Carolina who are ranked No. 74 and No. 60 according to SP+ metrics. They barely won both of those games for what it’s worth and nearly are as talented as FSU football. Wake Forest is actually ranked lower than FSU according to SP+ metrics at No. 53 compared to FSU at No. 47.

The other feel good thing is as bad as the Noles have been the past two years they have still managed to beat Wake Forest on both occasions.

This year’s team is much better than the previous two years. I know that has nothing to do with this year, but it’s still promising to think the Noles should be able to take this one as long as they don’t beat themselves.
