Limit Penalties

FSU football has been among the worst in college football the past couple of seasons. However, they were literally like tied for the worst last season as they averaged nine penalties for 71 penalty yards per game.

The Noles looked like a new team against Boise State, committing just five penalties all game.

However, those old issues reared their ugly heads against Louisiana-Monroe. FSU committed 11 penalties for 108 yards.

Those penalties often put the FSU offense behind the chains or continue drives for opposing offenses.

A couple of those were just dumb 15 yard personal foul penalties committed by FSU special teams.

Oh, we can’t forget about the dumb personal foul penalty committed for FSU senior linebacker Dontavious Jackson.

FSU has to play a clean game as they can’t afford to shoot themselves in the foot in this area. I’d be happy with seven 6-7 penalties or less.
