Final Thoughts

Listen, there was a lot of stuff to be disgusted with after Saturday’s loss. The coaches lacked the ability to adapt to what was happening.

The defense was suspect against the run and in coverage, but they did force three turnovers and could have had 2-3 more on the day had fumbles bounced certain ways or folks caught balls that were in their hands basically.

With the right mentality and execution the Noles could have beaten Boise State by double-digits.

As Jason pointed out Sunday, FSU left a lot on the field Saturday and still had an opportunity to win the game despite playing so poorly in the second half.

I’m still optimistic with this team and the next two weeks should tell us a lot about this program. It’s arguable to say we have already read this book based on what happened on Saturday.

However, there’s a part of me that believes this book can be different with a couple of tweaks here and there.

The good news is we’re not going to have to wait very long to find out what’s what. The Noles will have an opportunity to work out some kinks against Louisiana-Monroe Saturday in preparation for Virginia.

The road game against the Cavaliers is now the most important game on the schedule.
