FSU football was looking to use tempo and a lot of plays to wear down the Boise State defense. The opposite happened and revealed some disturbing observations.

I’m still a bit in awe of how awful the FSU football defense was Saturday against Boise State. It was reminiscent of how they started the year against Virginia Tech in 2018.

The Broncos marched right down the field before fumbling the ball away and allowing the Noles to get on the board first.

Their first play was an explosive 17 yard run which should have been foreshadowing of things to come.

In fact, Boise State only punted four times and had just two drives that resulted in three and outs(not counting their last two possessions when they were trying to run out the clock).

The ‘Noles defense allowed over 600 yards with a true freshman leading the Boise State offense in his first college game on the road.

That can’t be allowed to happen when there’s nothing but blue chip players all over your defense.

Here are three disturbing observations from their performance Saturday.
