Momentum

That’s right, recruiting has a lot to do with momentum. How many times have we seen Willie Taggart land multiple recruits over a day or so period?

Momentum inspires confidence and confidence is everything in sports. Once players buy-in and begin to believe they are going to win, it usually happens when they are the more talented team who puts in the required work.

I can easily see a win over Boise State turning into a win over Virginia in game three. If the Noles can get past Boise State and Virginia without incurring any losses?

They’ll have even more confidence going into the Louisville and NC State games. An undefeated FSU football team going up against Clemson would be much more dangerous than a 3-2 or 4-1.

I’m not saying they’d beat Clemson, but I’d at least expect that game to be more competitive than the view folk have of that game right now.

A loss against Boise State could easily turn into another loss against Virginia. It would be easy for doubt to creep in because of what happened to this program in 2018.

Not only would doubt creep into the minds of the players, it could very well turn the fans that have continued to support Willie Taggart thus far the other way.

A win would give those fans that are in wait-and-see mode a reason to stay engaged and eventually buy back into the program.
