FSU football head coach Willie Taggart endured a lot of criticism after the worst season in 40 years. Here’s three ways he’s won the 2019 offseason.

FSU football has to come out and beat Boise State August 31st or everything I’m writing is null and void.

I fully understand that, but that can’t happen until the game can be played that night. Until then, Willie Taggart has to control what he can control after a season that rocked most Nole fans.

It’s something Taggart did an outstanding job of last year and you’ll recall FSU football had a ton of momentum heading into the 2018 opener against Virginia Tech.

Well, after getting blown out in six of seven games last season, Willie Taggart has the Noles right back in the same position.

The only difference is most FSU football fan are taking a wait and see approach before fully buying back into what he’s selling. I can’t be mad at that, but I think it’s important to note what Willie Taggart has been able to accomplish since losing to Florida in late November.

The Noles limped to the finish line of the 2019 recruiting cycle with its lowest rated class on paper in the last decade.

It looked like it was going to be a long offseason, but somehow FSU is sitting right where it wants to be.

Let’s talk about the three ways Willie Taggart won the 2019 offseason.
