Defensive Line/Ends

The defensive line in a 3-4 format involving Marvin Wilson, Cory Durden and Robert Cooper is formidable. Oh yea, Joshua Kaindoh and Janarius Robinson are former five-star and four-star recruits too.

The line did lose their only legit pass rusher to the NFL Draft in Brian Burns. That’s where the biggest question mark with this group comes from.

How will they generate a pass rush when they return no proven pass rushers? I think that’s largely why they are toying with more 3-4, hoping that beef up front can stop the run and allow their linebackers to cover more space in the secondary.

It’ll also allow them to come with more different types of blitzes instead of the standard defensive ends coming off the edge every play..

I feel confident about the presumed starters and hopefully players like Amari Gainer and Leonard Warner III moving to a more edge rushing role can capitalize on that opportunity.

FSU football will be counting on a lot of young and inexperienced players for depth which is a concern.

Because I know the talent is there, I’m going to be bullish and go higher than my head is telling me.
