FSU football: Position group confidence rankings 2019

Secondary
This FSU football secondary is arguably one of the most talented units in the nation. It consists of almost entirely blue chip players.
Incredibly, there are blue chip players like Carlos Becker and Cyrus Fagan who have hardly played the past couple of seasons due to injuries.
The Noles return a lot of experience in 2019. Stanford Samuels III, Asante Samuel Jr., Hamsah Nasirildeen, Kyle Meyers, Levonta Taylor and A.J. Lytton.
Then they bring in heralded true freshmen like Akeem Dent, Travis Jay, Brendan Gant, Raymond Woodie III along with a few more talented players who’ll be competing for snaps.
This unit was picked apart last season for a number of reasons. Some of it was personnel, other factors were learning a new system and lastly the last of pass rush from the front of the defense.
I expect this unit to be improved this season. There’re more talent in this unit overall compared to last season and a lot of experience.
