Turnovers

I think a lot of folk put so much emphasis on how bad the offensive line was that they forget how bad Deondre Francois was in 2018.

The Noles turned the ball over 26 times and Francois was responsible for over half of them between 12 interceptions and several fumbles.

I documented that 22 of the 26 turnovers resulted in the opposing offense getting the ball on FSU’s side of the field.

Not only did that force the FSU football defense to try to defend a short field that many times, but it also meant the defense was on the field a ton.

Those turnovers resulted 79 points on the season which was 21 percent of the total points the defense allowed all season.

Will they be able to limit the turnovers in 2019? I do think James Blackman will be a serious upgrade over Francois and hopefully the running backs can hold onto the ball this season.
