FSU Football: 3 reasons Noles could be a sleeping giant in 2019
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU Football flew under the radar at ACC Kickoff for the first time I can ever remember. Are the Noles poised to be a sleeping giant in 2019?
FSU football seemed to be an afterthought at ACC Kickoff this week. The Noles no longer seemed to have the perception as one of the better teams in the conference.
Heck, they were picked to finish fourth in the ACC Atlantic Division behind Clemson, Syracuse and NC State.
Granted, they lost to all three of those teams by multiple touchdowns last season. Clemson is the king of the mountain at the moment and rightfully so with the success they’ve had.
They got a gift call from the refs against FSU football in 2016 and have ruled the conference with an iron first since then.
On the outside, the atmosphere seemed to present a picture of other schools maybe surpassing the Noles as a program. After all, FSU looked disorganized and they were highly undisciplined to even the casual fan.
When’s the last time FSU lost to teams like Syracuse, NC State and had to go life and death to beat Samford in the second half?
As bad as things looked in 2018, when asked about FSU football opposing players still seem to realize what’s in place in Tallahassee.
Wayne McGahee III from the Tallahassee Democrat asked some opposing players to give their thoughts on the Noles at the ACC Kickoff and they all felt the Noles are not a team they can sleep on.
Here’s my three reasons the Noles could be a sleeping giant in 2019.
