FSU Football knows that the pressure is on them to have an improved 2019 season after what took place last year with a program now back to rebuilding.

For going on the better part of seven months now, much of the talk surrounding the FSU football program has been with a negative tone – the dangers that come with a program having a losing season for the first time in over four decades considering all the hype that went into the first season under head coach Willie Taggart.

As Taggart’s team gets ready for his second season at the helm of the Seminoles, the hype that surrounded the team has died down considerably as compared to this point in 2018 – but the thought that the Seminoles are destined for another losing season has been a thought that is had by very few people of late.

You can count those who represented FSU football at the annual ACC Kickoff media event in Charlotte as among those who feel that same way judging by their comments to questions from members of the media.

Wide receiver Tamorrion Terry and defensive tackle Marvin Wilson were the two players selected to join Taggart and represent the Seminoles in Charlotte as the trio was all essentially asked why this upcoming season is going to be different than what took place in 2018.

Terry was the first of the trio on the stage and essentially kept his response simple: he knows the reason he came to Florida State and what is expected if you wear the garnet and gold:

"“We know what Florida State takes and whatever it takes to play at this level of the game, just going out there and playing the game, playing it well, doing your job.It ain’t nothing like having a good time out here at Florida State, having the fans lead you on, doing the chop and all that. That’s a great experience for me.”"

Wilson, who was one of the biggest recruits in the past few years for FSU football, has counted on the leadership from two former members of the defensive line now in the NFL to shape his approach entering 2019.

"“The best thing Brian Burns ever taught me how to do was how to work. Brian was one of the hardest-working dudes last year…him and DeMarcus Christmas, those were like the leaders I leaned on last year.Right now I’m teaching all the young guys more. It’s more than going out and practicing and stuff like that. It’s going in film, doing that extra work when nobody else is looking, listening to coaches, going to see everybody, who can help you evolve your game.”"

Taggart kept his response simple when saying that the book on 2018 is closed and the Seminoles have turned their attention to a 2019 season that gets underway in just over six weeks when the Noles take on Boise State in Jacksonville.

While the hype and hashtags aren’t the same as they were leading up to last season, the hype among the players to get FSU football back to winning burns just as strong as anything else.
