FSU Football: Ranking the 5 toughest games of 2019 season

This game last year was somewhat similar to the Syracuse game in that it was competitive at halftime with Florida up 13-7.

Like the Syracuse game, the defense was gassed in the second half and couldn’t get stops while the FSU offense was non-existent.

Now, Florida is a talented team but they are nowhere near elite. However, I expect them to be pretty decent on offense under Dan Mullen.

They return their QB and some other pieces as they finished No. 9 in the S&P advanced metrics last season.

It’ll be a road game for the Noles but they haven’t had any problems winning in Gainesville the last few years.

But that was under the old regime and this team’s confidence is pretty shaken and fragile right now. Winning on the road is hard enough, but rivalry games against good teams take things to another level.
