FSU football knows what took place last season doesn’t look good for their leader, but one website went all in on the soon to be 2nd year head coach.

At this point one year ago, there was plenty of hype surrounding the FSU football team and their new head coach with people wondering what Willie Taggart was going to bring to the program – with projections going everywhere from eight wins to a double digit win campaign and an outside shot at a New Years Six bowl game.

What not a lot of people saw in their projections was the Seminoles finishing with a 5-7 record on the season – the first losing campaign for the Noles since the 1976 season – as the summer of 2019 has started off with some wondering if Taggart can turn things around to keep the job for at least a third season.

While the expectations for the FSU football team in 2019 have been brought down somewhat from last summer, the general notion is that Willie Taggart has to do something to keep the seat from getting too hot in Tallahassee – even with one website going all in on him at this point.

CBSSports.com recently ranked the 14 coaches in the ACC at this point in the season – and Taggart came in ranked at No. 12, which puts him last among the 10 coaches that are returning from last season.

"“There’s a lot of distance between championship expectations and missing the postseason, and it’s up to Taggart to figure out how to bring the Seminoles back up to speed.”"

Now, I fully understand the pressure that is being put on the leader for the FSU football team entering the 2019 season and totally agree that he has to show something over the course of this schedule – but dead last among the returning coaches? Come on, man!

There is no way that Willie Taggart – with all that has been coming out showing the disaster that he was left with from the previous coaching staff – should be just ranked ahead of two coaches from Georgia Tech and Miami who are new at the job and behind coaches from North Carolina and Louisville at this point.

Of course, there is one simple way for the Seminoles and Taggart to quiet all the critics this season – go out and surprise everyone with the 2019 season. Will that take place? We’re only about two months from finding out.
