Why FSU Baseball can (and will) make College World Series finals

FSU baseball is one of the last eight teams standing as they prepare to start the tournament this weekend – and here’s why the make it to the final series.

Okay, FSU baseball fans, now is the time where we all take a moment to raise our hands if we truly did think that the Seminoles would be in Omaha starting this weekend for the annual round of eight teams fighting for a national title known as the College World Series. So go ahead and just raise your hand if you saw this taking place at all.

Nobody? No hands at all? Yeah, that’s what we thought was going to take place.

In reality, not even the biggest fans of the Seminoles truly saw the team – in the final season for legendary head coach Mike Martin – getting back to play for a national title that has alluded Martin during his storied career leading the Noles.

But, a funny thing has taken place as the FSU baseball team has won their last six games and – at this point – could be playing like the best team in the country. Does that mean they end up playing for the title? Yes it does – and here are the reasons why.
