Conclusion

The spring went about as good as one could have hoped. The team got better and the culture change appears to be headed in the right direction.

Leaders seem to be emerging on both sides of the ball and players look to be making gains in the weight room.

Recruiting wise things looks much more organized with David Kelly not having to worry about an on the field coaching position as the Noles have already offered more players in 2020 than all 2019.

They’ve also been able to get a nice start on the 2021 classes and beyond. However, everything will come to a head when the Noles take on Boise State in the opener.

A win there could establish a confidence and momentum in the program that hasn’t been seen since its Orange Bowl win against Michigan at the end of the 2016 season.

A loss would derail all the momentum that has been re-established over the spring and summer. I think Willie Taggart and the coaches know it along with the players and they go into that game with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove.
