FSU football is looking to change the perception of the program coming off its worst season in four years. What three things went right for the Noles this spring?

FSU football was at its lowest point in most of our lifetime after getting blown out by the rival Florida Gators and missing a bowl game for the first time since 1976.

The Noles went 5-7 with six of those seven losses coming by two touchdowns or more. Most of the top players that were high on the Noles going into the season were no longer feeling the garnet and gold by years end.

FSU’s recruiting class finished No. 19 which is the lowest since composite rankings have been used and FSU failed to sign a QB for the second consecutive recruiting cycle.

However, as with all things, there always seem to be some sort of balance in the world. Despite the program being at its lowest point, it was almost like you could hear the Warchant in the background and a Seminole warrior getting himself up off the dirt to fight again.

The Noles hired Kendall Briles’ right hand man and offensive line coach Randy Clements at a discount after playing chicken with Houston’s buyout.

Florida and Miami seemed to be tripping over themselves and missing a grand opportunity to put a gap between the programs.

Before you knew it, spring ball was over and the Noles seem to be in about the best position one could imagine considering the last nine months.

Let’s take a look at three things that went right for the Noles this spring.
