Marvin Wilson

The big dawg in the middle of the FSU defensive line came on stronger as the 2018 season went on. Marvin Wilson missed almost all of the 2018 offseason after getting injured in spring camp.

It took some time for that injury to heal and then time for Wilson to get back into tip-top shape.

Nevertheless, Wilson is one of the most talented defensive tackles in the nation and has had a great offseason thus far.

He had a spring similar to that of Brian Burns last season when the coaching staff couldn’t stop raving about him.

Sometimes that’s a lot of hyperbole, but that wasn’t the case as Burns played himself into a first-round NFL draft pick a few nights ago.

Wilson finished 2018 with 42 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. He also had four QB hurries and one forced fumble.

I think it’s possible Wilson could improve those numbers as he’ll be going into the season  healthier than last and has had a year to improve his game overall.
