Akeem Dent

I’ve been preaching the importance of players enrolling early if they wanted to be able to contribute as a true freshman.

Akeem Dent was one of those players who crept in the backdoor to enroll early and has shined on multiple occasions.

Dent is a special talent that will only get better with more reps in Harlon Barnett’s defense. He was able to have multiple interceptions this spring and a number of near interceptions.

Of course he made mistakes, but the coaches have voiced their pleasure with his ability to watch film and process information quickly.

Most importantly, Dent has been able to get in FSU’s strength and conditioning program to prepare himself for the rigors of a college football season.

There’s a good shot Akeem Dent will start and/or see significant reps at either cornerback or safety because he was an early enrollee.
