Most Needed-Dontae Lucas

I put Dontae Lucas here for a couple of reasons. He was one of the highest rated recruits in the class and is an offensive linemen which is one of the biggest positions of need.

He also hails from South Florida in Miami and it was very important to get him enrolled at FSU instead of with the Miami Hurricanes who recruited him really hard.

The relationship with FSU tight ends coach Telly Lockette was too strong and Lucas actually committed earlier than most thought he would.

The timing of the commitment  couldn’t have been better since it took place during FSU’s spring game last April.

Lucas coming into the fold gave the Noles a lot of momentum on the trail and a couple of other commitments came to fruition that weekend too.

Lucas has the opportunity to play early and the potential to be one of the best players in this recruiting class.
