FSU baseball will be getting plenty of exposure in Mike Martin’s final season as head coach, including three games that will be seen nationwide.

It wasn’t all that long ago where fans of the FSU baseball team would get a chance to see their Noles in action on the diamond without having to go to Dick Howser Stadium – as games for the Seminoles against rivals Miami and Florida along with ACC contests and select other games were usually televised across the state and around the country.

In recent years, the move toward everything being online still has Martin’s team being visible across the country but becoming less and less of a presence on television for a wider audience to see. In 2019, as Martin gets set to complete his final season in tend dugout for FSU baseball, a trio of contest will give everyone a chance to see the garnet and gold.

The school announced this week that of the team’s 56 games schedule for the regular season, 55 of them will be available to view for fans of the Seminoles. Of those games, three of them will be available on television in Florida and around the country.

"Tuesday, March 12th – at Florida (SEC Network)Sunday, April 14th – vs. Clemson (ESPN2)Saturday, May 4th – vs. Pittsburgh (Regional Sports Networks)"

All of the Seminoles’ remaining home games will be streamed online through ACC Network Extra, which will be the same way that all 15 ACC road games – including Martin’s final series with hated rival Miami in April – can be seen. The only game that will not be available will be the February 26th game between the Noles and USF Bulls in Tampa (thanks a lot, Bulls).

It may not seem like a huge deal today where everyone seems to have a  smart phone or the capability to get the online broadcast in some way, but for FSU baseball to get national exposure before the postseason is huge both as a way to continue promoting the program and sending Martin out with enough fanfare after four decades with the Seminoles.

The season starts for the Noles in less than two weeks when FSU baseball hosts the Maine Black Bears inside Dick Howser Stadium for the opening series of the year, which includes games on Friday and Sunday as well as a double header on Saturday.
