It’s a great hire by Willie Taggart and he should be given credit for making it happen when the opportunity presented itself.
Dugans is well respected and a FSU alum who’s worked with Willie Taggart before so it should be a perfect marriage.
Apparently Dugans is still being paid by Miami due to his contract and not being retained, so it’s possible FSU football got him for cheap salary wise too.
One other caveat to consider is how FSU wide receivers have struggled to block(aside from Tamorrion Terry) when it comes to the run game.
One thing I always noticed from Miami receivers was their attitude and physicality in going up for contested catches and run game blocking.
It’s an attitude the FSU football team needs to adopt as a whole as they have been soft quite frankly for a number of years.

Having a coach on staff that was here during FSU’s dominant run in the 90’s should give validity to players learning what it takes to get FSU football back on top again.
