Conclusion

This should be great game like the first two meetings between the two teams in the last five years.

The reason Alabama smoked Clemson in their last matchup was because Clemson’s Kelly Bryant wasn’t a threat to attack downfield in the passing game.

That won’t be the case Monday night and one of the main reasons Dabo Swinney made the move to go with Lawrence as his starter early in the season as a true freshman.

Clemson will not be going into this game unsure of themselves or “scared” of Alabama like a lot of teams. They’ve already beaten Nick Saban and played an instant classic with them too.

Confidence goes a long way in any sport and Clemson will go into this one knowing they have the best defense Alabama will have faced.

They also know they have an offense that’s capable of putting up a lot of points as they’ve averaged 44.3 ppg.

Like most games between two great teams it’ll likely come down to who makes the less mistakes/turnovers. If Clemson can stay even or win the turnover battle I definitely like them to win this game straight up.
