Clemson shines again in the CFB Playoff with a 30-3 thumping of Notre Dame. FSU fans react to the game.
The CFB Playoff took place Saturday with No. 2 Clemson taking on No. 3 Notre Dame.
However, it looked more like No. 2 against No. 33 as Clemson destroyed the Irish to make their third national championship game in four years.
The scary thing is FSU played both teams this year and was blown out in each contest which doesn’t bode well for future contests.
It used to be the road to the ACC title and College Football Playoff went through Tallahassee, but it’s been through Death Valley since 2015.
Check out FSU fan reactions to Clemson’s dominant win:

Realistically when can we beat Clemson? 2020, 2021 or 2022

YES! Can you please explain why you’re doubting that? In 2 yrs we are ACC Champs AND in The National Championship game! Look at our current roster and Willie has us in the top 15 2019! Jimbo quit recruiting & we’re in the top 15 due to Willie! I bought your record don’t give up!

Thoughts
As most of the tweets point out, Clemson has TWO more years with Trevor Lawrence at quarterback who’ll likely win a Heisman Trophy before he’s done there.
FSU is trying to get competitive again and will likely do that in the next two years, but dreams of making the college football playoff should be on hold until 2021.
FSU has to make headway on the offensive line, defensive line and linebackers. They have looked to address those needs in the 2019 recruiting cycle, but it’ll take about two or three years before those players can develop into difference makers.
The addition of Kendal Briles as the new offensive coordinator does give some optimism the Noles will make a run sooner or later. However, the games against Clemson and Notre Dame showed just how big the gap was in 2018.
I don’t think the talent gap is that big, but the Noles do need to make sure the work done in the weight room is maximized because the Clemson’s and Alabama’s of the world are running GROWN men out there each game.
