Good/Great Recruiter

It’s not the most important aspect of the job with the current staff that’s put together, but any coaching staff can also use another good/great recruiter.

Coach Bell was tied to four-star QB Sam Howell and was a big part of why Howell committed to the Noles.

However, there wasn’t much else he brought to the table recruiting wise compared to Raymond Woodie, Mark Snyder, Greg Frey or David Kelly.

According to 247Sports, he’s only gotten credit for landing two four-star recruits ever (one being Howell to FSU football).

Coach Bell recruited the Carolina’s for the Noles since he was from the area and coached at UNC previously.

It was telling FSU football never caught traction with Howell’s good friend, four-star athlete Quavaris Couch.

Couch plays both linebacker and running back and FSU could have used him at either position.

However, FSU desperately needs linebackers in this class and Couch has gone on record he wants to play linebacker in college and potentially in the NFL.

FSU was able to get him to visit a couple of times, but was never it in for him and it looks like he’ll be going to Clemson.

The new hire needs to bring more to the table, especially when it comes to landing quarterbacks and offensive skill players.
