Brian Burns

Brian Burns could be on every impact player list for FSU football this year. The team leader in sacks got his first sack since the Wake Forest game.

He finished the game with seven total tackles a sack and two tackles for loss. Burns was also credited for one QB hurry.

The sack came at a critical time on second down that put Boston College in a third and 18 situation.

Unfortunately, Boston College was able to convert the third down but it was great to see Burns come through with a play when the defense really needed it.

Burns now has 46 tackles on the season which is just two off his pace through 13 games last season.

He’s already surpasses last season’s sack total of 4.5 with 10 through 11 games. The important thing to remember is he’s had this production with teams game planning for him with double teams, etc.

FSU football will need a big game from him next week against Florida if they want to pull off the win.
