FSU football is a family and the community and fans have rallied around to help one of their own in sophomore Janarius Robinson.

FSU football sophomore defensive end Janarius Robinson and his family lost everything a few weeks ago when Hurricane Michael roared through the Florida panhandle.

His town of Panama City was leveled and his family was devastated when they returned from staying with family in Georgia to see the aftermath.

Sometimes bad things happen to good people and by all accounts Janarius Robinson falls into that category.

He spoke with the media Wednesday about what transpired after the storm and what’s next for him.

Help Is On The Way

One of the few things the NCAA has gotten right lately was allowing Robinson to set up a GoFundMe account for his family with a goal of raising $75,000 to help them get their lives back in order.

The great news is as of this writing the goal of $75,000 has already been surpassed with over 1,300 people donating money just over a day.

However, the campaign is still ongoing and if you missed this was happening and feel compelled to give you can still do so. Let’s be honest, $75,000 isn’t a lot of money when you’ve lost everything.

More photos of the destruction of their home can be seen on Robinson’s Instagram account linked above. Not only are they dealing with losing everything, but also the burden of having to live elsewhere until they can figure out their next steps to get back on their feet like most families in that area.

Coach Taggart has voiced that Janarius Robinson is a model student athlete on and off the field. The Nole family coming together to support one of our own is a great thing to see. Kudos to you all that have contributed or shared the information for others to contribute.
