Turnover Luck

FSU has been a turnover machine with an amazing 12 turnovers through five games. That’s five interceptions and seven fumbles lost folks.

Turnovers were a huge factor in their loss against Virginia Tech with turnovers likely the reason FSU football took a win from Louisville.

Miami on the other hand has given the ball away eight times through five games. They’ve lost three fumbles and thrown five interceptions with their defense capturing 12 turnovers through five games.

Miami has done better job of protecting the ball and forcing turnovers which seems to turn their good defense into a great defense. Most of the ‘Noles turnovers have given their opponents excellent field position and cost the Noles points.

The good thing is aside from a freaky punt hitting a FSU player in the head on a return, the Noles protected the ball pretty well last game.

Miami’s turnovers have come mostly through the air which usually involve less luck and are more skill oriented.

If the Noles can take care of the ball they should be in good shape against the Canes.
