FSU football goes into the Miami Hurricane’s game as the biggest underdog since 2002. We provide three reasons they could upset the Canes.

FSU football had owned the Miami Hurricanes over half of the last decade as the Noles hadn’t lost to the Canes since 2009 prior to the 2017 season.

It was seven consecutive wins and likely would have been eight had the Noles not been forced to start a true freshman QB.

The craziest thing is he played well enough to win, but it took some luck and questionable coaching decisions for the Canes to steal a win in the waning seconds of last years game.

They had always played the Noles fairly tough aside from three lopsided wins during the winning streak.

Now, the roles are seemingly reversed as FSU has gone through coaching changes across while coming off their worst season in a decade.

The Canes were favored to win by -5.5 points in the preseason, but FSU’s unexpected ineptness on offense has seen that number swell to double digits for the first time since 2002.

There are not a lot of folks giving the Noles a real chance of covering the spread, much less winning the game as an outright underdog.

However, under closer inspection we’ve identified three reasons the Noles can win the game outright.
