Last week the FSU football offense looked as if they were starting to come along – but can FSU continue this success for their first conference win?

Now I know it was against NIU, but FSU football actually looked impressive last week. That’s more than we can say about the couple of weeks prior to that. The offense is looking to keep rolling as they finally looked competent last week. Louisville is struggling, maybe even worse than FSU is. Here’s how FSU football can win.

DB Kyle Myers vs Dez Fitzpatrick and Jaylin Smith.

Funny how this match-up changed through the course of the season. Levonta Taylor was the guy you wanted to cover opposing teams top targets, but with Taylor’s struggles throughout this season Myers has turned into the No. 1 corner. Fitzpatrick and Smith are big targets for QB Jawon Pass and can stretch a defense vertically. Even with Pass’ rough start, FSU football must be on their P’s and Q’s when covering these 2 dangerous wideouts.

RB Cam Akers must get going

Akers’ struggles throughout the season have mostly been on the O-line, but some blame falls directly on him. Akers has not been patient with his runs, bouncing most stuff out east and west and essentially trying to play hero ball. He needs to run more north and south lowering his head to gain positive yardage. I think this is the game Cam puts it all together and the turn around of his season.

WR Tamorrion Terry vs Whoever

I said this last week and I will say it again until Terry gets more than two targets a game. Terry is a stud and hands down one of our most reliable receivers (even if it only for two targets.) Terry absolutely needs more touches as he is averaging 22 yards per reception.  His combination of size, strength, and speed are enough to give any defensive coordinator fits.

Score Prediction

31-13, Noles. This is the game FSU football puts it all together, I think offensively and defensively the ‘Noles will play at a high level and quite frankly will be fun to watch. Hopefully this will be the turning point of the season.
