Explosive Plays

We’ve talked about both offenses being of the suck but there’s one major difference between the two and it’s this category.

Both have terrible success rates and are largely inefficient but the Noles hold a decided edge when it comes to explosive plays.

FSU football ranked No. 44 in marginal explosiveness whereas Louisville is ranked No. 108.  The Noles would have an even higher ranking if they could cut down on the dumb penalties as a number of big plays have been called back because of flags.

However, on the flip side Louisville’s defense is a bit better than FSU’s at not allowing chunk plays so something got to give Saturday afternoon.

If I had to pick between both offenses, give me the one with the more talented roster that’s more explosive when they do make a play.

I like FSU’s defense against Louisville’s offense. If the Noles can avoid turnovers and dumb penalties on offense they should be able to notch their third win of the year.
