Turnover Luck

FSU has been a turnover machine with an amazing 11 turnovers through four games. That’s five interceptions and six fumbles lost folks.

Turnovers were a huge factor in their loss against Virginia Tech and the Noles likely would have blown Northern Illinois out if not for four turnovers in that game.

Louisville on the other hand has given the ball away eight times through four games. They’ve lost two fumbles and thrown six interceptions.

So neither team has been great at securing the ball but the Noles have been far worse through four games. Most of their turnovers have given their opponents excellent field position and cost the Noles points.

The good thing is fumble recoveries involve a lot of luck so at some point hopefully the fumbles either stop or bounce back to the Noles.

Louisville’s turnovers have come mostly through the air which usually involve less luck and are more skill oriented.

If the Noles can take care of the ball they should be in good shape against the Cardinals.
