Deondre Francois

Deondre Francois bounced back with a much better game Saturday compared to his performance against Syracuse last week.

He finished the game 23 of 31 (74 percent) for 352 yards and two touchdowns and was only sacked twice on the day.

One promising aspect for Francois’s willingness to use his legs instead of sitting in the pocket like a statue and get sacked although that did happen once Saturday resulting in a fumble.

He fumbled twice, once from a strip sack and another from a botched play in the mesh point as he was trying to make a read.

Francois would have been higher on the list if not for those plays and the terrible interception he threw. The interception led to a NIU touchdown as the turnover happened on the ‘Noles side of the field.

This is an area Francois is going to have to improve moving forward as he has five passing touchdowns and five interceptions on the season.
