Deondre Francois was the most important player on the team in 2017. The ‘Noles survived without Derwin James in 2016, but the season was lost in 2017 after losing their signal caller.

Francois had a great redshirt freshman campaign, winning ACC Rookie of the Year honors and passing for over 3,000 yards with 23 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

He also rushed for nearly 500 yards when not counting sack yardage, and was one of the best quarterbacks in the country on third down.

He likely will not be counted on as much in the passing game because of the nature of the offense. However, this offense should be able to take advantage of his dual threat ability a bit more than the old regime.

Francois will have a ultra-talented group of receivers to throw to with much more size than 2016.
