FSU football will be going across the state of Florida and around the country this season, with plenty of NFL games in the area at the same time.

Over the course of the 2018 season, the FSU football team will go from Tallahassee to Miami and the state of Kentucky to the state of New York and even head to another time zone when they travel to South Bend – some of the many trips in which fans of the Seminoles will be making over the 13 weeks of the regular season.

At the same time, fans of the Noles will be looking for things to do while on the road after they have seen Florida State play inside Doak Campbell Stadium or at one of the road trips this season – and what better way to do that by seeing more football when pro football Sundays and Mondays take place.

Aside from the opening weekend of the season (when the NFL hasn’t started) and during the bye week for FSU football in the middle of October, there are plenty of options if you want to do the college / pro doubleheader.

Here’s a look at the best options you have this season if that’s in your game plan:

September 15th at Syracuse

NFL Options: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets, Los Angeles Chargers at Buffalo Bills

With the Seminoles and Orange playing at noon on Saturday, there is plenty of time to head down to the Big Apple if you are also a fan of the Fins or head west and see former FSU football star Derwin James play his second professional game.

September 22nd vs. Northern Illinois

NFL Options: New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons, Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars, Pittsburgh Steelers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Monday)

Depending on which direction you decide to go, any number of former Seminoles will be taking the field in this game – except for Jameis Winston, who will be serving the final game of his suspension during this week.

October 20th vs. Wake Forest

NFL Options: Houston Texans at Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions at Miami Dolphins

Sure, the competition isn’t all that great for the teams who play near FSU football, but who wouldn’t want to see the dumpster fire from Cleveland if they don’t have a  win by this point.

November 10th at Notre Dame

NFL Options: Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts

Seeing both Notre Dame Stadium and Solider Field in the same weekend is a double header that big football fans might not want to pass up – or go watch the Jags, who seem to be following the Seminoles around a lot this season.

November 17th vs. Boston College

NFL Options: Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers at Jacksonville Jaguars

You can head up to see America’s self appointed team take on Devonta Freeman or wait until Sunday night and watch a rematch from last year’s AFC playoff game where the Jags got a win thanks to some FSU football grads.

December 1st (tentative) in ACC Title Game

NFL Options: Baltimore Ravens at Atlanta Falcons

Yeah, I’m going out on a limb and putting the Seminoles in Charlotte for the championship game – but if you wake up early, you can make it over to watch this battle of the birds.
